Do not assume one image size or count applies to every Amazon marketplace, category and date. Start with the current requirements in the relevant seller account, then separate MAIN, supporting image positions and any planned A+ content.
Make a slot-by-slot asset map before approving the shoot: identify the exact marketplace and product category, the sale SKU and component list, and the buyer question each MAIN, supporting or A+ position must answer. Record the current seller-account requirement beside each slot, then mark which views require real sample detail and which allow a scene or layout. A room photograph is not a substitute for identifying the sale unit; an A+ composition is not automatically suitable for the main-image slot.
Start with the product: Amazon textile product images
For a bedding set, match the planned views to its approved component list: show the sale unit, identify each included piece, then add views of closures, seams and fabric texture where they answer a buyer question. Keep styling props separate from sale contents, and tie every view to the same SKU and sample version before adapting it for supporting image positions or A+ modules.
Identify the actual sale item, product name, style code and intended page position before choosing white-background, flat lay, room or detail views. Base the shot count on product differences and information needs rather than copying a standard package.
Give each image a specific job
One image rarely explains shape, construction and use equally well. Separate the shots by task so the team can check each requirement during capture and delivery review.
| Image task | What it should explain | What to check |
|---|---|---|
| MAIN image | The actual sale item and its complete outline | Check current marketplace and category requirements |
| Angles and components | Front, reverse, set contents and alternate views | Show only the parts actually included |
| Material and construction | Visible weave, quilting, binding and labels | Use approved facts for specifications |
| Scenes and A+ assets | Use context, brand information and module content | Plan safe composition around actual module dimensions |
Confirm the product information before shooting
Images must match the real sample, style code and approved product information. Ask the brand to supply and approve dimensions, fiber content, filling, weight, functions, certifications, care and intended-use statements. Do not infer them from the photograph.
Do not present another product’s scene, unverified specifications or generated concept imagery as evidence of the actual item. Amazon requirements can change by marketplace, category and time; check the current upload interface and seller guidance.

Connect main images, details and use scenes
A main image establishes product identity. Product-page images can add construction, close-ups, components and confirmed specifications. Room scenes explain space or use, but do not replace clear views of the sale item. Plan safe crop space for landscape, portrait and square uses before capture.
