TEXTILE PRODUCT PHOTOGRAPHY · NANTONG

Show the product clearly, from full set to fabric detail.

We photograph selected samples in Haimen, Nantong for overseas brands, importers, ecommerce teams and China-based exporters. The shot list is built around what the buyer needs to see and where each image will be used.

THE BRIEF · PRODUCTION PRIORITIES

Start with the need.
Then choose the method.

Bedding sets: show what is sold

Match the buyer SKU and supplier sample revision to the approved component list. Plan a complete-set view plus separate views where overlapping pieces hide an included item. Mark inserts and styling props as excluded when they are not sold with the set.

Pillows and inserts: reveal the form

Use the identified sample to decide whether outline, side profile, quilting or an actual closure needs its own view. Do not request a filled cross-section when the supplied item cannot be opened under the agreed handling permission; unresolved construction facts stay with the product owner.

Fabric and towels: separate surface from claims

Choose close-ups for visible weave, pile and edge finish, and a wider view for shape or drape. Match each view to the same sample reference. Fiber content, absorbency and performance wording require approved information; a photograph supplies appearance rather than a test result.

Choose the views that explain this textile product

Start with the sale product and the buyer question. The table turns a category name into evidence-led views without treating photography as product testing or approval.

Decide what the shoot needs to establish

Use this matrix before asking for a quote. It separates the visible work a photography project can prepare from product approval, inspection, shipping and publishing decisions that remain with the buyer or supplier.

FAQ

Before you start

Which products do you photograph?

We focus on bedding, pillows, duvet inserts, curtains, fabrics, towels and related home textiles. Share the product list so we can confirm suitable setups.

Can my supplier send the samples?

Yes. Confirm the project, receiving details, package contents and return or onward arrangement before dispatch. Ask the supplier to identify each sample and flag restrictions on steaming, washing, cutting, removing labels or opening sealed packaging. Name who can approve those changes; do not assume they are part of normal preparation. If a changed sample is needed, agree which views it may represent and which untouched reference must be retained. This is a photography handoff, not sourcing, inspection or batch acceptance.

Can the images be made before overseas shipping?

That can be the purpose of the project. Share the sample location, shipping plan and asset-use date so we can discuss a workable scope.

How are image count, price and timing decided?

Start with a SKU and color list, then mark the views needed for each sale product: complete item, included pieces, reverse, closure or material detail. Put styled scenes and extra crops in a separate optional list, and share existing images that might be reused. We use that scope to discuss capture, styling and editing requirements, then confirm image count, price and timing before production. Confirm the project and receiving details before sending samples.

PROJECT DECISIONS · CHANGES AND RELEASE

Decide whether an image needs editing or a new capture

Review the named proof against the agreed shot and identified sample before requesting a correction. Editing can improve presentation; a missing view or changed physical product needs a separate capture decision.
